Cold brew coffee is not the same as iced coffee. It is rather the young, hip sister.

Iced coffee is warmed up and then cooled down, while in cold brew ground coffee is mixed with cold water, then 12-24 hours in a sealed container, then filtered.

As a result, there is also a difference in taste: cold brew is softer and sweeter than an iced coffee.

Now that you know what it is, How do you make it?

Fair is fair: a good cold brew coffee does not take you 5 minutes. You should therefore start on time with it, as it has to pull at least 12 hours. Take it in the evening, for example, so that you can take it to work in the morning.

You can make your cold brew in just a glass jar or large pot. 100gr quick filter coffee, 900ml water, closable bottle / pot, filter bag 5 minutes preparation, 24 hours waiting time, 10 portions cold brew cold brew filter cold brew.

1. Put 100g of quick filter coffee in a jar or bottle with a capacity of 1 liter.

2. Fill the pot with 900ml cold water and close well.

3. Shake a few times and allow to stand for 24 hours so that all aromas are absorbed from the coffee.

4. Shake the coffee again after 24 hours and pour through a paper coffee filter (in a filter holder for convenience) into a measuring cup.

5. Clean the bottle and pour the coffee back into the bottle.

Due to the low acidity, your Cold Brew is sure to last for a week in the refrigerator.

Serve over ice cubes, with milk and sugar if this is your thing.

Enjoy your intense soft sweet coffee taste at home, at work or on the go.

Variations:

Add a little Monin syrup like the Hazelnut or Chocolate flavor.
