Make your own iced tea during hot days
Especially during the hot summer months it is incredibly important to drink enough. Due to the heat we automatically sweat more and it costs your body more energy to do the same activities. There are all kinds of ways to keep the fluid level up, but the most fun is to make a delicious cooling drink yourself! Ideal to share with friends and family in the garden or to hand out at work. Today we show you how to make your own iced tea!

Before you make iced tea
If you are going to make your own iced tea, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you should use cold water. Sounds logical, but if you use warm water, there is a big chance that your iced tea will become bitter and that is of course not tasty. With cold water, you have to be a little more patient, but the result is more than worth it!
Making iced tea in your own kitchen
Before you start making iced tea, you need a few ingredients. You can vary these, because iced tea has all kinds of flavors. For example, you can also add fresh mint to make a delicious green iced tea. But you can also make healthy, refreshing drinks with fruit. It doesn't really matter, as long as you add fresh and healthy products, you can create nice surprises. Don't be shy: try!

You will need the following ingredients:
-
Can be used with cold water
-
Tea bag with flavour of your choice
-
Sliced lime, berries or other fruit for garnish
-
Ice cubes
Place the tea bag in cold water. Stir well and put it in the fridge for 24 hours to let the flavors infuse well. Remove the tea bag. Garnish with slices of lime or other fruit and add ice cubes. Now you are all set to enjoy your own homemade drink during the summer!
