Article 1 – Aye, the rules of our ship!

These terms and conditions apply to every offer and order placed with Koffie Piraat. Anyone boarding our ship agrees to these rules. Do not try to smuggle your own conditions onboard — we do not accept them. If a storm ever arises between you and Koffie Piraat, Dutch law will be the governing compass.

Joining Koffie Piraat (i.e. placing an order) is only possible if you accept these terms. So before we raise the anchor, we must all know where we stand!


Article 2 – Sign up for our message in a bottle!

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will regularly send you news and offers you won’t want to miss. No bottles at sea — just tasty updates in your inbox!

You can unsubscribe at any time without trouble from the captain. Simply click the unsubscribe link or send us a message and we’ll remove you from the list.

Leaving the ship? We will delete your email address unless you have given permission for us to keep it or legal obligations require us to retain it.


Article 3 – Offers & agreements (the treasure hunt! 🏴☠️)

Our offers are like the sea: always changing. Prices may change and sometimes errors occur. A mistake in pricing or description does not bind us — even pirates miscalculate sometimes!

We do our best to describe and display products accurately so you know what you’re bringing aboard. However, a screen is not a treasure chest, so colors and details may slightly differ.

Important for our international pirates: if you live outside the Netherlands, you are responsible for any import duties and taxes on your order. Make sure your ship is properly registered with customs in your country!

Once you place an order and we confirm it, the deal is sealed. We will send you an email confirmation. If you hear nothing, please let us know!

Before accepting an order, we may check whether payment can be fulfilled. If we believe the risk of sinking is too high, we may refuse the order or apply additional conditions.

We would like to point out that you are responsible for declaring and paying any coffee import taxes. Countries include, but are not limited to: Germany, Belgium, and Denmark.

Always check your local customs authority regarding import duties.


Article 4 – The treasure (the price 💰)

All prices are in euros, including Dutch VAT, but excluding shipping costs.

Pirate rules differ per country! Living outside the Netherlands? Please check whether import duties or additional charges apply.

If you accidentally overpay due to a pricing error, we will correct it as soon as possible.

If prices change, we will inform you. You may cancel your order before the new prices take effect.


Article 5 – Payments (dividing the loot! 🏴☠️)

You can pay using the methods listed on our website. We do not accept barter deals involving parrots or chests of ducats — tempting as that may sound.

If you notice an error in your payment details, please inform us immediately so we can correct course.

Goods remain the property of Koffie Piraat until full payment has been received. No payment = no loot!

If payment is not received, we may charge additional costs, but we will always communicate this clearly.


Article 6 – Shipping (the treasure map to your chest! 🏝️)

We work with a reliable shipping partner. Shipping costs are shown at checkout.

We aim to hand over your order to the carrier within 3 working days. If this is not possible, we will inform you immediately.

If delivery takes longer than 14 days, you may cancel your order and receive a refund.

Please ensure your address is correct! If a parcel is returned as undeliverable, you will receive a refund minus shipping and handling costs.

We carefully check orders before shipping. If you receive a damaged package, please report it immediately to the carrier and to us. We will pursue the matter — sabres and cannons optional.


Article 7 – Returns (what if you don’t want the treasure? 🏴☠️)

Changed your mind? No worries — you have 14 days to return your order without giving a reason.

Return shipping costs are at your expense, but we aim to make the process as smooth as possible.

Due to hygiene reasons, we only accept unopened and undamaged products.

Some products cannot be returned, such as perishable goods and opened packages. An opened bag of coffee, for example, cannot be resold to another pirate!


Article 8 – Liability (who holds the helm?)

We do our best to ensure all information on our website is correct, but mistakes can happen. Koffie Piraat is not liable for any consequences arising from such errors.

We are not responsible for damage caused by improper use of our products. So don’t pour your coffee over the deck or try to use it as ship fuel!


These terms are designed to keep smooth sailing for both our pirate crew and our customers. Have questions? Just shout, send a carrier pigeon, or a message in a bottle (okay, email is fine too). Together we ensure a smooth adventure on the high seas of coffee trade! ☕🏴☠️⚓
