In the spotlight of KoffiePiraat: Amsterdam Coffee Festival.
KoffiePiraat is always looking for the best experience in the coffee world. Especially for you we are looking for the best coffee festivals. This time in the spotlight: Amsterdam Coffee Festival.
That's right, the Netherlands has its own coffee festival! The Amsterdam Coffee Festival celebrates Amsterdam's vibrant coffee scene. It's an event by, for and about the Dutch coffee world. Don't worry, visitors can taste endless hundreds of coffees. The coffee comes from all over the world, not just the Netherlands.
The Amsterdam Coffee Festival 2019 will be a big party. It is expected that 12,500 visitors will come to this coffee weekend. Music, art and demos are combined with lectures and workshops. Of course, there will also be culinary trends in the field of tea, cocoa and chocolate. A real festival for coffee lovers, foodies and hospitality professionals.
In addition, the festival also offers a stage for various SCA championships. For example, the finals for the Dutch Barista Championship and the NK Latte Art will take place. There are also competitions for The Dutch Brewers Cup, The Cuptasters Championship and The Coffee Roasting Championship. Enough competitions for coffee lovers, then.
The festival is part of the NL Coffee Week 2019. During this week, coffee roasters, independent coffee shops and suppliers work together by donating money to a good cause. The Amsterdam Coffee Festival would also like to contribute. Half of the ticket proceeds go directly to Project Waterfall. This charity provides clean water in African countries where coffee is grown.
Want to enjoy the vibrant coffee atmosphere in your own country? From March 1st you are welcome in the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
