Clay
Claying may be something you did as a child, but it is also a lot of fun to do as an adult. It is not only entertaining, but it also has a relaxing effect. Many of us work with our heads, and behind the computer a lot. It is nice to work with your hands for a change. There are so many fun things you can do with clay.
For example, you can easily make a nice bowl for the dining or living room table. Put something tasty in it for the tea or coffee that you make with delicious coffee beans . Or make your own coffee mug.
This is what you need:
• Air dry clay
• Rolling pin
• A few bowls to shape the clay
• Water
• Piece of sandpaper
• Decorative paint + brush
This is what you need to do:
Take half of the clay from the package and close the rest well so that the clay does not dry out. Roll out the clay on a clean surface. Take what you want to imitate, such as a bowl or a mug, and place it upside down on the rolled out clay. Cut around it so that you get a circle. Now fold the circle around the bowl and let it dry for about 12 hours. Are there any scratches or holes in it? You can smooth them out again with some water. After 12 hours, carefully remove the clay dish from the bowl or mug and let it dry for another 24 hours. If necessary, smooth the edges with sandpaper.
Then you can use paint to decorate your bowl as you wish. You will definitely make your visitors jealous with your unique bowls.
