Koffie Piraat B.V. Return Policy

At Koffiepiraat.nl, we do our utmost to ensure that you are satisfied with your order. If something is not entirely to your liking or something went wrong, please feel free to contact us. The Koffiepiraat.nl crew is happy to assist you and always looks for a suitable solution for our coffee lovers.

Right of withdrawal for consumers

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason.

After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product to us.

Upon receipt of the return, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price of the returned products, including any standard shipping costs of the original order.

The costs for returning the products to Koffiepiraat.nl are at the customer's expense, unless there is an error on our part or a damaged product was delivered.

Conditions for returns

To return a product, we ask you to:

  • Handle the product with care
  • Return the product in its original packaging if possible
  • Return the product completely
  • Register the product within the legal return period

You may assess the product as you would in a physical store.

If a product has been used more than necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may charge a depreciation fee.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

Due to hygiene, food safety, and product quality, certain products cannot be returned.

These include:

  • Opened packages of coffee beans
  • Opened packages of ground coffee
  • Opened coffee capsules and coffee pods
  • Opened tea products
  • Opened chocolate drinks
  • Opened milk powders
  • Opened syrups
  • Other opened food items

Products whose seal has been broken and which, for reasons of health protection or hygiene, are not suitable for return, cannot be returned either.

In addition, custom-made products or products specially ordered for you cannot be returned.

Products with a short best-before or use-by date

At Koffiepiraat.nl, we do everything we can to combat food waste. That is why we regularly offer products at an extra competitive price due to a short best-before date (THT) or use-by date (TGT).

The relevant best-before date is always clearly stated on the product page or in the product description, so you know exactly what you are ordering in advance.

Because these products are specifically offered at a discount due to the stated best-before date, they cannot be returned or exchanged based on the best-before date itself.

Of course, this does not apply if there is an incorrect product delivered, transit damage, or another error on the part of Koffie Piraat B.V. In that case, we will be happy to assist you further.

Damaged or incorrect delivery

Did you receive a damaged product or an item that does not match your order?

Please contact us as soon as possible via klantenservice@koffiepiraat.nl.

If possible, please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the problem
  • Photos of the packaging and/or the product

We will then work together to find a suitable solution.

Incorrectly delivered or missing package

Although we work carefully with our carriers, something can sometimes go wrong during transport.

If your order is delayed, arrives damaged, or may be missing, please contact our customer service. If necessary, we will initiate an investigation with the carrier and will be happy to assist you further.

Refunds

After receiving and checking your return, we will process the refund as quickly as possible.

We aim to process refunds within a few business days. The amount will be refunded using the same payment method as the original payment, unless otherwise agreed.

Business orders

For business customers (B2B), the legal right of withdrawal generally does not apply. Returns of business orders are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
