Road trip in Australia

The story of spotter starts when Chris is looking for something new. He wanted to be an entrepreneur but had no idea what he wanted to do. He decides to make a road trip through Australia. Chris says 'In Sydney I met a guy who showed me Cold Brew coffee. He sold it there himself.' The idea of ​​cold brewed coffee was strange but after the first glass Chris was sold. Along with many other ideas he takes the cold brew coffee home with him.

Spotter at the market

A year and a half later, Chris' own Cold Brew coffee came onto the market in the Netherlands under the name Spotter. It took a lot of preparation, but Chris' also says 'If you want to learn or do something, you just have to do it.' Spotter now has multiple points of sale and there is an increasing demand for Cold Brew coffee in the Netherlands.

Future

Cold Brew Coffee is not yet very well known in the Netherlands. We ask Chris what he would like to achieve with Spotter in the next five years. 'We want to grow and introduce more people to Spotter Coffee. Show people what they have to choose from and what is possible. Cold Brew Coffee is delicious and really puts it on the map. It would fit very well within the hospitality industry. You can make Cold Brew a real experience.'

'With Heidi for sure, that's always nice. But also with other people from the coffee world. Entrepreneurs who have built a big company from nothing. But to name names Tony Robins and Steve Jobs, those are people with value and insights for me. But I could also learn a lot from the baker around the corner.'
