How it started

We speak to Ali, Navid and Saman about Yalda Herbs. They all come from Iran. They grew up with herbal tea. The various herbal teas from Yalda Herbs are compositions of herbs that they have always drunk. The loss of tea was the beginning of Yalda Herbs. It is a real family business, for example, the beautiful packaging was made by Ali's sister.

More than tea

Yalda Herbs has six different flavors: Lemon Cold Buster , Immune Booster , Valerian Dream , Recover , Erotica and Elixer . As you can tell from the names, the different teas all have a different effect. With Immune Booster you can strengthen your immune system and Valerian Dream can help you sleep better. The tea mixes are centuries old and have been around for generations. All composed of different types of dried herbs, nothing else has been added to this.

Video calling

When asked what creative solutions she has used, Ali says it is difficult to visit new customers. As a solution, they now send samples to customers. Customers can then try the herbal teas themselves. 'Then we video call and tell more about our different blends and answer people's questions.'

We conclude with the question: who would you like to have coffee (or tea, of course) with again?

“I would definitely choose my mother. I always have the best tea time with her. I miss those moments with her.”
