Are you home more often these days? And do you miss your Caramel Latte Macchiato?

Many baristas will tell you that the Caramel Latte Macchiato is one of the most ordered coffee varieties, which originated from the regular Latte Macchiato . That combination of espresso, frothed milk and caramel makes for many a nice coffee moment. Until now, many of us did not make this ourselves. Time to change that because it is super easy. And a nice bonus: also a lot cheaper.

What do you need?

- A strong espresso
- 200 ml Milk
- For the best frothing result, use a full-fat milk. You can also use a vegan milk such as oat or soy milk.
- 50 ml Caramel sauce. For example Monin caramel syrup or Nic creamy Caramel sauce
- A large glass and a long spoon

Step 1:

Pour the milk into a milk frother and beat it until it is a warm, firm milk foam. Don't have a milk frother? You can also heat the milk in a pan and beat it with a hand mixer in the meantime. Your milk will be a little less firm, but you will get a cheerful head of foam.

Step 2:

Make a strong espresso from your favorite coffee. Or try the Illy Intenso Dark Roast ground coffee for this. Illy Espresso Intenso for Nespresso available. If you drink Nescafé, the Dolce Gusto Espresso Intenso is a delicious espresso.

Step 3:

Pour a layer of caramel into the glass. Slowly pour your milk on top and then carefully pour the espresso. You now get a cozy layered effect.

Step 4:

Pour some more of your caramel sauce or caramel syrup on the milk foam. Gently stir the caramel at the bottom with your spoon through the espresso and enjoy your delicious homemade Caramel Latte Macchiato.

Not difficult, right? And also very nice to be able to serve to family and friends during a special occasion. We know for sure that they will be pleasantly surprised by the fact that you know how to put this on the table so easily.

Finally, a variation tip:

There are many more delicious flavours you can try in your coffee. How about Monin chocolate, hazelnut or amaretto ? Or Nic's toffee caramel and black cookie . Your home, your special coffee variations!
